Needing a quick winter inspired activity to try out with your kiddos?! If you answered yes, then I have just the thing for you! I love word wheels and so do kids (and adults too honestly). Word wheels are great for literacy centers, morning meeting activities, and can even be used in many other ways. Here's how it works:
Make as many words as possible in 5 minutes
Figure out the 9-letter mystery word (spoiler alert: it's SNOWFLAKE)
I usually give a prize to the student who made the most words and to the student who found the mystery word first.
Pro tip: Play holiday jams while they are working
